Toddler gifts

Toddler gifts come in many shapes and sizes. Many toddler gifts in the market today promote learning through play. During early childhood, children learn through play and interacting with their environment.

At My Little Thinkers, we believe in not only targeting cognitive development, but we embrace the concept of targeting all three domains of a child’s development. Our programs are geared for infants through preschool-age children and focus on cognitive development of this very dynamic age range.

For great toddler gifts, consider one of our interactive, child-centered educational presentations such as the "Bilingual Beginnings Language Learning System." Click here for a preview of our toddler gifts.

Early childhood generally refers to the period from birth through age 5. A child’s cognitive development during early childhood, which includes building skills such as pre-reading, language, vocabulary, and numeracy, begins from the moment a child is born. Developmental scientists have found that the brain acquires a tremendous amount of information about language in the first year of life even before infants can speak. By the time babies utter or understand their first words, they know which particular sounds their language uses, what sounds can be combined to create words, and the tempo and rhythm of words and phrases.

Social development during ages 2 through 5 involves nurturing a child's self concept as well as the ability to interact with other children. Children during "The Play Years" learn about different emotions and how to control them. This is a life-long process, but it begins during this critical developmental stage.

Physical development between the ages of 2 and 5 (what some psychologists term "The Play Years") involves nurturing both gross motor skills and fine motor skills. Gross motor skills involve large body movements, like running, climbing, and jumping. Fine motor skills involve small body movements, mostly with the hands and fingers. Children are also very active during this time. They seem to have BOUNDLESS energy! We know that each child will develop at his or her own pace. With enough time and enough space to move around in, children will eventually be able to master these skills.

Our videos have been created by a team of parents, educators, child development experts, video producers, and graphic artists who specialize in creating engaging programs for children. They have designed each product with Little Thinkers in mind! If you're looking for engaging toddler gifts, click here for a preview.
